EU PPWR: show your boxes carry no more paper than they need
The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation asks for packaging cut to the minimum weight and volume that still does its job, from 2030. PackPrism checks the paper side of that for every corrugated box you ship.
What the rule asks
Packaging placed on the EU market must be designed so its weight and volume are reduced to the minimum needed for it to work, and you should be able to show how you got there (Regulation (EU) 2025/40, Article 10).
Where PackPrism helps
- Checks the paper in every box against the strength it needs, not a sample.
- Lists the boxes carrying more paper than they need, with a lighter specification that is just as strong.
- Writes down the method and assumptions behind every figure, in an Excel you can keep on file.
What it doesn’t cover
PackPrism looks at the paper in corrugated boxes. Box size, empty space and the regulation’s other duties need their own checks. This page is not legal advice.
Checking is free. You pay only for the boxes we improve.Send the spec sheet you already have; results in about a day.
