Case study
₹1.36 crore a year on 120 boxes
A large Indian manufacturer shared the specification workbook for its corrugated boxes. PackPrism checked every one of them. The company stays anonymous.
What was checked
All 120 box specifications, priced with the company’s own paper rates. The headline figure compares with today: no proposed box could be weaker than the box it replaces.
What came out
46 of the 120 boxes could use lighter, cheaper paper with no loss of strength. The report also compared two other standards, the strength written on the specification and the load in the warehouse stack, and flagged existing boxes worth testing.
Read the figure carefully
The saving is paper cost only, with no conversion costs. The workbook had no yearly quantities, so an equal volume was assumed for every box; real volumes change the total. Savings stay model-based until physical tests confirm them.
